持ち手が鮮やかな色彩の鳥（雉や鳳凰、孔雀などに見える）の形になっており、非常に珍しく美術的な価値の高いお品です。

皿全体には角度によって虹色に輝く美しいラスター彩（ラスター仕上げ）が施されており、金彩（ゴールドトリム）と手描きの花柄が華やかさを添えています。

プレート自体は緩やかな波打ったフリルのような形状です。
