Offered with overseas collectors and serious vintage-style bass buyers in mind, this is a Fender USA American Vintage ’62 Jazz Bass (Stack Knob), understood to be from around 1996, Fender’s 50th Anniversary period, based on the serial/markings and my own research (not guaranteed).
This model recreates the early Jazz Bass specification associated with the 1960 to early-1962 period, including the distinctive stack-knob control layout (2 Volume / 2 Tone). Within the American Vintage line, the stack-knob version is regarded as one of the more desirable and less commonly encountered variants, especially for buyers who value vintage-correct feel and presentation.
This is not being offered as a low-priced “player-grade bargain.”
It is being listed with rarity, long-term desirability, and collector-oriented appeal in mind.

【Condition】
Playable at the time of listing.
Electronics were checked at the time of listing, and no major issues were observed within my confirmation range.
The neck shows slight forward relief consistent with age and vintage-style character. This is not presented as a modern ultra-low-action instrument, but rather as a bass with a more traditional vintage-oriented feel.
The truss rod has not been adjusted during my ownership.
Cosmetic condition shows honest age-appropriate wear, including:
- one dent near the 14th fret
- strap button relocation
- small dings, finish wear, and natural aging
This is not an artificially relic’d instrument.
Visible wear appears to be the result of natural use and aging over time.
【Ownership History】
I purchased this bass used in the late 1990s from a professional music store associated with a rehearsal studio, upon recommendation by the shop manager.
It has been kept and used carefully over many years.

出品時点では演奏可能な状態です。
電装は出品時点で確認し、当方確認範囲では大きな問題は見当たりませんでした。
ネックはやや順反り傾向があり、現代的な超低弦高セッティング向きというより、ヴィンテージ寄りの弾き心地です。
トラスロッドは当方所有中は未調整です。
外観は年式相応の使用感があり、
・14F付近の打痕
・元穴緩みに伴うストラップピン移設
・小傷、塗装の擦れ、自然な経年変化
があります。
作為的なレリックではなく、見える範囲の使用感は自然な経年・使用によるものです。
